I just had a random thought: If your favourite character (like your own OC, for instance) was dating/engaged to/married to another character, isn’t that pairing likely to be your OTP? I’ve seen some cases where people’s OTP don’t involve their favourite character at all, despite them being with someone. So wouldn’t that mean they didn’t like their favourite...
